This SW-7.6K-804 model from our SWC Series employs a widely-used process, reverse osmosis, for seawater purification. Reverse osmosis counteracts the natural osmotic pressure of 'osmosis', which typically drives salt through a fine membrane from low to high saline concentration areas. To halt this process, reverse osmosis applies high pressure via a pump, forcing water molecules through the membrane's small pores while rejecting salts and impurities. This results in clean, drinkable water on the permeate side, with salts and impurities drained out on the concentrate side.
